Can I tell you that my daily page views have about tripled over the past week?! Not saying this for any other reason other than I think a few of you may be new(ish) bloggers yourself and hoping to grow your blog :) {check back soon for more tips on blog growth}
Well, I think it has a LOT to do with the new Linky Followers, and the Linky Follower Blog Hop, which is a fun and REAL way to increase your blog followers fast. I'm loving getting to know and follow so many new bloggy friends!

Hello! I'm Rebecca from http://www.sister-dipity.blogspot.com/. Lauren has given me the opportunity to guest post here today about myself and my blog sweet blog!
Ah, a day late and a dollar short on this one, but alas, this week's fave5 :) Thanks for your grace, readers :)
If you have followed along at www.confidentofthis.com, or if you know my family, you probably have heard us talk about adoption. I am passionate about adoption and believe it to be at the very heart of God. My husband and I continue to seek and pray about how and when we will add to our family through adoption, but we know it is not an "if". At one time I felt like I couldn't advocate for adoption because we have not adopted yet...
but I've decided that's just silly.
I am going to talk about it, because maybe someone reading doesn't know about the 147 millionorphans in the world today.
Maybe someone didn't realize that themillions of lives lost to HIV/AIDS in recent years in Africa has left a generation of fatherless children.
Maybe someone reading needs to respond to a call to adopt.
Maybe.
So, today's Friday5 is a more serious than some of the past entries. But I simply cannot NOT talk about the fatherless. I hope you're OK with that :)
I hope that if you're not, your heart will become tender as you watch the following videos, which are, in my opinion, some of the best adoption related videos out there.
May you pause and open your heart to hear these stories today:
Today is the second installment (catch the first one here) of the new Guest Host series here on SSJ,
Ms. Holly from BellaNest has a great project for us, using lace and a DIY chalk paint recipe to transform a table from drab to fab. Please welcome our guest:

Hi there! My name is Holly and I'm ecstatic to be a guest here at Summit Street Joy! I blog over at Bella Nest where I share simple and inexpensive ideas to bring your nest to life!
If you're still feeling the need for some Valentine's inspiration, be sure to visit the Handmade Valentine Party, as well as my top Valentine's pics here and here and here.
Apparently dipping pretzels in chocolate is a good gig for this (almost) non-cook.
I liked the simple sweet and salty treats so much that I decided to duplicate the idea for Valentine's this year. So, in lieu of the traditional character valentine's, here are the alternative class Valentine's our little crew whipped up for the kiddos' pre-school classmates.
And, as always, it was a project on a budget :)
The kids loved this project. It was a ridiculous mess and I just let them have at. The floor is still sticky :)
